Is Herman Miller an 8(a), -minority, or woman-owned business enterprise?

No.


Is Herman Miller a member of the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC) and/or Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC)?

We are a national corporate member of NMSDC, and a regional corporate membe of WBENC's Women's Business Enterprise Council—Great Lakes.


Does my company have to be an 8(a) or similarly classified company to work with Herman Miller?

No. Herman Miller works with all types of suppliers. However, it is our policy, through our Supplier Diversity Program to maximize participation with minority- and women-owned businesses by developing mutually beneficial business relationships with them. We also support doing business with small, small disadvantaged, veteran, service-disabled veteran, HUBZone, and LGBT-owned businesses.
