Designer Ayse Birsel was among seven individuals honored on April 10, 2008, by the Rhode Island School of Design at its annual Athena awards gala in New York City. Recognized for Excellence in Furniture Design, Birsel is known for Herman Miller's award-winning Resolve furniture system and its new Teneo storage furniture collection.
