Orgatec Exhibit Design Garners Gold for Herman Miller, Inc.

The company attended Orgatec from October 24-28, 2006, in Cologne, Germany. The show is considered the world's largest trade fair for companies representing an array of contract interiors industries, including lighting, flooring and furnishings.

Judges described the Herman Miller display as "simply stunning."

The international competition is judged by world-renowned designers. Jurors for 2006 included; Michael Bierut, partner, Pentagram, New York; Bill Cahan, founder and creative director Cahan & Associates, San Francisco; Michael Carabetta, creative director, Chronicle Books LLC, San Francisco; Dian Duvall, principal, Gensler, San Francisco; Clark Manus, FAIA, CEO, Heller Manus Architects Inc., San Francisco; Clement Mok, designer, instigator, and consultant, CMCD Inc., San Francisco; and Debra Nichols, founder, Debra Nichols Design, San Francisco.

Established in 1986, Exhibit Design Awards honor the world's best trade show exhibit designs. One EDGE Award (for Exhibit Design and Graphic Excellence) and multiple Gold, Silver, and Special Merit Awards are offered in 16 categories.
