Abak--a desking system
Abak components can be configured in multiple ways for desking applications throughout a facility.
Understated Elegance
Slender profile. Trim lines and light scale let the interior architecture take center stage.
Horizontal theme. Created by the convergence of components, colors, and materials.
Attention to detail. Components fit and align precisely.
Translucent, reflective elements. A space feels larger and more open.
Finish selection. Surfaces come in six laminates and eight Geiger veneers.
Versatile Performer
Strong foundation. Sturdy twin beams connect at 90 or 120 degrees; legs attach to the beams; beams support work surfaces, screens, and the performance wall.
Simple components. Freestanding desks, linear arrangements, meeting tables, or spine-wall configurations are easy to specify and install.
Broad, efficient application. Private offices, meeting areas, or open-plan environments; achieves density and supports collaboration in a human-centered work space.
Totally nonmodular. Surfaces and screens can be attached anywhere along the performance wall or beam.
Simple to Standardize
Global product. Abak environments everywhere share the same product platform; the twin-beam understructure is the foundational element worldwide.
Local culture. Abak can adapt to diverse aesthetics and work styles.
Proven Heritage
Popular worldwide. Abak is based on a design that's been a success in Europe and Asia for over a decade.
Now available in North America. And 50 other countries.
Technology Support
Efficient routing. The performance wall delivers power and data to workstations; it also divides space and supports components.
Performance wall capacity. Lower cladding with power holds up to 88 Category 5e 4-pair UTP cables or 68 Category 6 cables at a 60 percent fill rate; utility cladding with power holds 58 Category 5e cables or 45 Category 6 cables.
Easy access. Data ports and receptacles along the performance wall are located at work surface height or below the surface.
Up from the floor. With a raised floor or floor monuments, cable managers route power and data to the work surface; beam-attached vertical cable managers carry up to 98 Category 5e 4-pair UTP cables or 76 Category 6 cables at a 60 percent fill rate; beam-attached cable holders carry 442 Category 5e cables or 342 Category 6 cables. |
