Compelling Design
Adjusts easily. Flexible hinges at the base and the head allow infinite adjustment of the light for personalized illumination.
Fluid look. Hinges are continuous with the rigid structure; the aluminum extrusion is twisted in a new, innovative manufacturing process, giving the design a sculptural, organic flow as well as stability.
Use it anywhere. Can be freestanding or clamped to a surface.
Four colors. Choose black, white, metallic silver, or polished aluminum.
Environmental Enlightenment
Energy efficient. The compact mini-fluorescent 13-watt bulb is low-energy consuming (.17 amps at 120v) and has a reflector for an even illumination; the bulb uses about a quarter of the electricity as an incandescent bulb and lasts 3 to 4 times longer.
Strict standards. Ardea was developed according to Herman Miller's demanding protocol for minimal environmental impact; Ardea is 84 percent recyclable.
