Herman Miller's My Studio Environments and the Leaf personal light continue to dazzle the critics. The Douglas Ball-designed My Studio was cited as one of five "Editor's Picks" in the annual year-end Products Report section of Architectural Record, published in December. Adding to the luster was Yves Behar's Leaf light, praised as a "task light with personality" in the "Electrical and Communications" sector.
The magazine's editors included My Studio among an elite group of "memorable introductions" in 2006. "My Studio's high walls on the aisle side and short walls at the back foster conversations between people who work closer together...A sliding door for privacy is an extra bonus."
The publication's annual Product Report competititon attracts hundred of entrants, and is judged by an eight-person jury of product experts who are charged with highlighting those products deemed innovative and interesting.
