Company Recognized by the Premier Healthcare Alliance for Supporting and Contributing to High-Quality Hospital Environments
Industry leader Herman Miller, Inc., with subsidiaries Herman Miller Healthcare and Nemschoff, announced its receipt of a Pinnacle Award from the Premier healthcare alliance. This honor was presented to the Company for its excellence in outstanding management of Premier agreements, and its drive toward the mutual goal of providing clinical and financial value to the Premier alliance members.
"Herman Miller and Premier share the belief that patient-friendly, cost-efficient healthcare environments should be the standard rather than an exception," said Herman Miller Healthcare President Beth Nickels. "Receiving this award reaffirms our commitment to providing customers with the interior furnishings necessary to move that vision forward."
The Award is one of several industry honors the Company and its subsidiaries have received this year, including a 2011 Medical Design Excellence Award and Design & Health International Academy Award for its modular Compass System and a 2011 Best of NeoCon Gold Award for the Oasis Overbed Table.
The Company accepted the award at the 2011 Annual Breakthroughs Conference and Exhibition in Nashville, Tenn. The sixth annual award ceremony was held at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel and Convention Center on Wednesday, June 15.

The Pinnacle Award rewards Premier's contracted suppliers that support attainment of mutual goals, drive contract utilization and are committed to performance improvement. Premier has contracts with more than 800 suppliers, and Herman Miller is one of 39 contracted suppliers to receive the Pinnacle Award.
