Herman Miller, Inc., Named Among Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies

February 22, 2010

Herman Miller has been recognized by Fast Company magazine as one of its 2010 Most Innovative Companies and among the more select "Innovation All-Stars." It is the only Michigan-based company to appear on the All-Star list and the only representative from the contract furniture industry.

Fast Company includes more than 250 companies in its Most Innovative Companies feature, which identifies a variety of innovative practices occurring throughout the worldwide business landscape.

"Our goal was to offer a snapshot of the creativity at work in the global marketplace and inspire the Fast Company audience with illustrations of how powerful and effective business can be," said Fast Company editor Robert Safian.

The list of Innovation All-Stars includes 59 global companies noted in 2008 and 2009 as Top 50 honorees. Fast Company selected these All-Stars based on their ability to navigate through a difficult economy with renewed creativity and bold initiatives. Herman Miller was lauded for its recent introduction of award-winning products, including the Embody and Setu chairs and the Teneo storage furniture system.

Fast Company's March 2010 Most Innovative Companies issue is on newsstands and it is available online.
