Herman Miller Reveals the Evolution Behind the Revolution
November 02, 2010
Company introduces liveunframed.com - an experiential site offering a behind-the-scenes peek at the making of Sayl
People at their best aim to go beyond the norm, living lives "unframed" by the boundary of conventional expectations. They strive to do and be more. With the acclaimed Sayl chair, Herman Miller aspired to create a family of seating that gives form to that same spirit.
A new website now reveals more of the back story to the making of Sayl, with never-seen images and revealing interviews that allow the viewer inside the process. The site's design and content, courtesy of fuseproject, takes the visitor on a journey of discovery, beginning with Yves Béhar's early concepts and continuing with new, weekly releases of content focused on experiments in design, prototype product and finally finished product.
Sayl chairs will be available for order through Herman Miller dealers, retailers, and the HermanMiller Store on December 6, 2010. Sayl will be available in-store in January 2011.
