A Big Cloud for Small and Medium Business
For teams of people working on different projects, on different software, at different times, often from different locations, the cloud is one of the most paramount places to be. The most aggressive segment to migrate upward? Small- and medium-sized businesses.
In a recent survey, Spiceworks quantified the cloud’s rising popularity. The report shows cloud-based services are now used by 62 percent of small and medium businesses, a jump from 48 percent in the first half of 2012. By early 2013, the number is projected to ascend to 73 percent, all the way up from 14 percent just two years ago.
In today’s globalized society, the cloud has taken collaboration by storm. By storing documents in the cloud, workers and teams are connecting quicker and sharing easier wherever they may be located. And with new services developing daily, the cloud is proving that, when it comes to working together, the sky’s the limit.
