Textile Alliance Program (TAP)
The Textile Alliance Program is Herman Miller's unique partnership with leading textile companies Luna Textiles, Maharam, and Momentum Textiles, as well as Edelman Leather, a world leader in fine upholstery leather. Through our partnerships we offer an extensive selection of timeless, cutting-edge fabrics and leathers for refreshing, innovative workplace environments--an exciting complement to our standard textile and leather programs. These fabrics and leathers have been tested on our products to meet industry standards and are pre-approved for product application. Each TAP fabric and leather has been given a standard Herman Miller order number and assigned delivery dates.
Luna Textiles
Luna Textiles are classic and sophisticated, with architectural design directions that beautifully accent Herman Miller products. Known for her understated, elegant patterns, founder and President Anna Hernandez has received numerous industry awards. Luna has earned a remarkable following and reputation as one of today's top textile design companies.
Maharam
Maharam is an innovative company with a long history of successful products. Our Maharam selection offers classic Eames-designed fabrics along with the latest textile designs and materials. Under the leadership of brothers Michael and Stephen Maharam, the company is guiding industry efforts to incorporate fashion, archival, environmental, and technological influences into a broad range of products.
Momentum Textiles
Momentum Textiles specializes in providing office, hospitality, and healthcare markets with an ever growing selection of upholstery materials designed for high performance. Offering unique color coordinated textile designs, Momentum is dedicated to being a leading source for healthcare performance textiles.
Place Textiles
TAP Place Textiles provides high quality materials, design integrity, and a distinctive palette. A carefully selected collection of 16 luxurious and durable Place Textiles fabric families are available on Herman Miller Classic seating products. Several of the fabrics are from Place Textile's Durable Luxury series; these fabrics are engineered to maintain their appearance and provide years of service in situations where real life happens. They have a high resistance to fading and are inherently stain repellent, and are very comfortable to the touch.
Edelman Leather
Edelman Leather offers some of the world's most luxurious upholstery leathers. Every product is manufactured with a passion for beauty and attention to detail. All hides come from small southern European farms enclosed with wooden fences, which eliminates brands and scars. The leathers are made in Edelman's own factories, where custom coloring and hand finishing are the norm.
