The architecture of classrooms is important in setting the atmosphere of learning. I remember being in a college in Florida, and none of the classrooms had any windows. What a dull feeling.

There definitely needs to be a reworking of architecture / interior spaces for classrooms. As a student now, I can definitely say there are some classrooms that I learn in better than others.

Since I don't change, the rooms themselves foster that difference - things like natural lighting and softer surfaces for sound dampening really do help you concentrate.
