		<description>I agree that this decentralization would make life much easier for the nurses. However, I have a friend who works in the inventory department at a hospital and this would probably drive her to distraction. It&#039;s already incredibly difficult to handle inventory control in most medical settings and the financial losses related to this problem are quite substantial. Of course, with recent advances in 3D barcoding and RFID tech, supply tracking could eventually be resolved to the satisfaction of everyone.
