		<description>The $1500 tax credit my husband and I are getting for the energy efficient windows we installed last year was certainly a factor in our decision to go ahead with that green home improvement. It&#039;s paying off in both the lower electricity bills and in how much warmer the house is right now in the middle of this winter storm. 

I always assumed building an LEED certified home would need to be something that was done from the ground up. It&#039;s interesting to find out that it can be done by renovating an older home as well.
