A Tribeca Townhouse Gets a Makeover
If you caught this month’s issue of Interior Design magazine then this home office, part of a renovation done by Ghislaine Viñas, may look familiar. We featured Ghislaine’s own home office a while back and I was thrilled when she sent me these pics of the recently completed Tribeca townhouse. Ghislaine says “We designed a very special office for our client Paige West and I wanted to show it to you in case you wanted to feature it on your blog. The client gave me a picture of a parakeet and told me to design the room based on it.” From that interesting brief sprang this extraordinary home office. I love the colors of this space, which is funny I usually don’t like blue. I think its the green that makes the blue work so well.
What is your (the universal you) opinion of the lamp? While I understand the use of the feathers, in regards to the picture, my first reaction is that it is over the top. That said, I realize I opt for a simpler aesthetic, so of course it sticks out to me.
