Five Fabulous: Paper Clips

By Amy Feezor

Since its debut in the early 1870s, the paper clip has held documents together with grace, style, and smarts. (And these days, it can even hold together your sanity—how many times have you stretched one out to eject a stuck CD or DVD?) Take a look at our picks for its modern-day counterparts.

as someone who’s spent serious time (i’ve been accused of being rather sad over this very point) looking at paper clips, i wanted to point out the much looked over Owl Clip. there’s something quite wonderful about it to me. the fact that when applied i makes a small box at the top of the pages makes me surprisingly happy. my wife thinks i’m nuts, but i take solace that one of the all time greats of education Bert from Sesame Street (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mE2QegemD-I) was a big fan as well.

thanks for the post.

That YouTube clip is hilarious! Thanks for sharing. I just may have to post it for everyone to enjoy. And I agree – those owl paper clips are charming.
