Hi Dave,

I can't take credit for the photos -- those are by Chris Perez. You can see more of his work here: http://chrisperez.net/

Thanks for stopping by! Austin is a great town -- I'm a big fan.

Hi Amy, your photos are really good not to mention the design of the interior itself. I was hoping to get some ideas for one of my condos in downtown Austin, and I'm thankful that I was able to see all of these. Thanks for sharing this post!

My husband and I both work at home and have "his and her" desks. We just have them in separate rooms. We love working together, but we can't actually work "together" in the same space:)

To clarify, Alterstudio was the architect and Abode Homes was the builder. We were told that the two desks are from two different decades, though both woods match almost perfectly. The desk you see in the first two pics was saved from the original Adam's extract building, furnished by Knoll in the 50's before it was demolished a couple of years ago. The second, L-shaped one was owned by a professor here at University of Texas. Patricia R White, my wife and graphic designer, looks for Herman Miller vintage items online consistently. Notice the vintage kelly green Eames Aluminum Group Lounge Chair and ottoman, which we adore and started this fascination for us.

these all appear to be items from Nelson's Executive Office Group, (EOG) that dates back to the '50's. the last picture with the "two story L" was called Work Organizer, I seem to recall.

Hi Tristan. It's the same desk by George Nelson, just shot from different angles. Check out the story behind it all here: http://www.apartmenttherapy.com/a-hearth-under-an-oak-tree-house-tour-165861
