Actually, there’s a good market for used Aeron chairs. There’s lots of good shops reselling refurbished or repossessed chairs. Mind you, it is a damn fine chair – I got one very early (also at full price, more or less, just w/out tax) – but it is also something startup companies spend money on – and have to sell, when they go under.

I bought a 2nd one used for my desk at the company for just 800 € or so and it was nearly brand new.

I decided to have no vacation and save some money every month to be able to afford one. A while ago i finally bought one! They are crazy expensive here in Austria (around 2500 usd) and the price is kind of out of my leage (it’s just for home after all), still I think it’s worth every cent and the backpains I often had from my old chair went away in days.

Only problem: my desk looks ugly in comparison now! I think it would look nice with your desk though.
