More Productive? You Must be Working from Home

By

Less distractions and no commute were the two of the reasons people like working from home, according to a new survey released from Microsoft. The Microsoft Telework survey, which covered  3,600 workers in 36 cities nationwide, found that people were more productive and efficient when working from home. Now we just need employers to catch on. The survey also found that only 15 percent believe their company supports flexible work arrangements. Via Techflash.

tell me about it… i work for one of the most prominent internet companies in the world – seriously, their brand is a household name and i guarantee you’ve used their services before.

being an internet company, you would think they would support more unconventional work arrangements but alas, they do not. in fact, they are very strict about allowing their employees to work from home, despite having issued laptops to every single employee in an office position – that’s more than 20,000 laptops worldwide… yet we cannot work from home.

It’s crazy the restrictions placed on people in this day and age. I wonder why they gave you laptops if they aren’t going to let you work from home!
