ggmil - here's what I'm realizing and this will probably be what my next post is about: I feel like in order to maintain this state, I need to be mindful. Assign everything a place and really pay attention to where it belongs, and put it back. This practice has helped a lot with the desk so far, but also in the kitchen and putting away clothes etc. Maybe we weren't meant to multitask. Maybe just pay total attention for a few seconds to finish something totally and completely. Love back.

I have several drawers that look like the first photos. I periodically try to reorganize and throw away; then suddenly the "messy me" appears again to jumble stuff up almost before my eyes. What do you do with all the "miscellaneous" stuff? Love
