It was wonderful to return to Los Angeles last week with so many great stories from ICFF. What wasn’t so wonderful was returning with a bad back. A combination of lugging heavy luggage and blogging from the ICFF lounge threw my back into spasm. (I really hope they get some work stations set up on the fair floor next year!) Writing from a sofa chair each day, shoulders stooped, forearms at a slope, neck bent – it’s a recipe for disaster. And I am paying for it now.
It brought home the importance of a good office chair and the joy I get from my black leather Eames Aluminum Group management chair – which I realize I’ve taken for granted all these years. Although now my back is out I am seriously thinking of moving on to an Aeron. I had found myself at the Room & Board showroom in Culver City yesterday. They’ve got a whole area set up with Herman Miller office chairs. The Aeron was bliss! That higher back felt really good. As did the extra lumbar support.
I’d love to know what you are sitting on as you read this. Has anyone else made the transition from EAG to Aeron?
