One Less Drop: This would make a perfect addition to our desk. The shape is slick, sleek and certainly stylish. Don’t forget functional too — on the bottom of this cord manager is non-slip pads to ensure it doesn’t go anywhere unless you want it to. Run a cord in the groove and it will most definitely stay put until you’re no longer using the cord (or forever!). There’s even a power cord stop on the back so that you can always have your laptop power cord within arms length. It’s not available on the market yet, but keep your fingers crossed that they reach their goal, and we’ll be able to buy this.

Wood Wires Desk: You aren’t actual able to purchase this desk ready made, but the website does offer an instruction manual for a DIY project. Who knew that easy cord management could be as easy as building a wood plank desk? To build the desk — just place wood planks over an existing desk and space them just far enough apart that a cord can squeeze through (without falling completely through). Sounds easy enough! This would make a really great DIY project.

Westinghouse Hidewire Management System: This is a cord management system you can actually buy right this second and we sort of love it. We have a LACK media stand (with just one shelf) and this system would work really well in managing our cord situation. Run each cord through the system and attach it to the side of your desk, entertainment center, etc. Plus, it’s super cheap so it won’t break the bank.

UNDER THE TABLE: A great example of this done properly is one of our favorite running examples; the “under-the-table” wiring management system. Above, Blupics demonstrates how it’s done by incorporating grommets, screws, zip-ties, and cable management systems.

A CORD BOX: Another great recent example was the DeskTop by Yummyguide studios, where they custom built a table from scratch with all of the cord management in mind. Using their logo as the grommet holes, they strung their iMac power cables under the table to a Blue Lounge cable box. There’s also a convenient docking slot below the desk to house laptops when needed.

WIRELESS TECHNOLOGY: As for the case of tech, we’re big on Bluetooth, as long as they’re utilizing rechargeable batteries and contribute to a cleaner desktop system. Having things on Bluetooth also allow it to be tucked into small drawers (if your desk/table has them), making room for other tasks in your everyday work flow.
