The Launch of the Eames Lounge Chair

In 1956 Ray and Charles Eames appeared on NBC to launch their latest design for Herman Miller, a lounge chair and ottoman. 55 years later we’re still making the same chair and it has become an icon of good design. This clip from NBC is a fascinating glimpse into the design process. I’m not sure what I enjoyed more – hearing Charles and Ray talk about the lounge chair or listening to those great accents!
