Unplggd: Take Notes in Style, Doodle with Joy

By

Do you remember when you were a kid and enjoyed hours and hours of finger painting? Well, it’s not too late to start again! Using a stylus, you can revisit those childhood years and use your tech in similar fashion.

Just Mobile AluPen The AluPen is a great “pencil shaped” stylus that just feels great in the hand. You will see an increase of the amount of control that you will gain while interacting with your favorite touch sensitive device. Made of solid aluminum, it has a soft rubber nib. This is the ideal one if you are looking into a lot of drawing and hand writing.

Ozaki iStroke S The iStroke will only work with your iPad/iPhone due to the 30 pin connector but offers a small footprint and great precision. The soft touch tip provides with lots of sensitivity and it’s made of real aluminum and not plastic.

PenGo TouchPen The PenGo TouchPen has an elastomer tip which provides a similar experience than with a regular pen and will work with any touchscreen. We love that you can just take notes, draw or even sketch with one simple stylus.

Ten One Design Pogo Stylus It looks just like a pen… even with a pocket clip! It works great on smaller screens too. It allows you to have a more natural angle while working on a tablet and typing on a software keyboard is a breeze, thanks in part, for the smaller nib size. It works while wearing gloves and it’s made of durable aluminum.

Thanks for the reviews. I also found the Wacom Pen to be very interesting. Your take?…http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-31747_7-20055024-243.html

It’s hugely popular. I included a review of it in my last Top 10 round up here – http://www.hermanmiller.com/lifework/top-10-28/

Also see the Cosmonaut, whose creators contend that “the perfect tablet stylus is one that feels like a dry erase marker.”

Just picked up the Wacom Pen…thanks for the link to blog post referenced in your top 10. Couldn’t agree with you more, Wacom’s done it again with this one…sleek, effective and just friggin’ cool. These guys know good design.

I’ve been resisting buying one – but I think this may be it! It’s one of those pieces of tech I don’t really need but I really want…

Great to read about these newer forms of stylus devices. I have migrated from pogo to boxwave and now over to Wacom, and appreciate the improvements…
