Comfort and control
Lightweight, mobile, and exceptionally comfortable, Centé meets the needs of both patients and caregivers. Its durable, permeable suspension provides comfort by helping air circulate so the user remains cool. A unique shift-control mechanism helps position the chair at different heights and angles to increase seated comfort and make standing easier.
Help with standing
Patient handling is the primary cause of musculoskeletal disorders among nurses, 38% of whom suffer back pain severe enough to require leave from work. With Centé, a shift-control mechanism lifts and positions the seat forward on an incline, making it easier for patients to stand with little or no assistance.
Comfort while sitting
Seat and back suspension surfaces and 10-degree recline provide a comfortable seated posture. Resilient urethane springs provide soft flex, while permeable seating materials permit air to circulate around the patient.
Flex or tilt
Centé is available in flex or tilt models. With either model, when a patient leans back, feet stay flat on the floor and the front edge of the seat moves with the body, so the legs remain in a comfortable position. Both models also provide air circulation benefits for a high degree of seated comfort.
Easy to use
An integral headrest reduces the need for separate pillows. A coordinating ottoman is available, adding comfort for all body types. A soft handle and optional rear casters make it easy to move the chair when unoccupied.
Easy to clean
All components of Centé chairs are removable to allow for routine cleaning and maintenance.
