Herman Miller Healthcare Named Premier Legacy Award Winner
Herman Miller Healthcare Recognized for Operational Excellence and Efficiency in ‘Facilities’ Category
Herman Miller Healthcare announced today that it is a winner of Premier, Inc.’s Supplier Legacy Award. They received recognition for operational excellence in the “Facilities” category.
Herman Miller Healthcare brings together the comprehensive offerings of Herman Miller, Nemschoff, and Geiger to help healthcare organizations and their partners create environments for people to work well, get well, and live well.
Herman Miller Healthcare is one of 13 suppliers to receive the award this year. Winners are recognized for their long-standing support of Premier members through exceptional local customer service and engagement, value creation through clinical excellence and commitment to lower costs.
“Receiving the Premier Legacy Award recognizes and reinforces our commitment to continuously strive to offer the highest quality products at the best possible price to the Premier alliance,” said Louise McDonald, President, Herman Miller Healthcare.
To be considered for the award, companies must be actively engaged with the Premier alliance, committed to lowering costs through pricing and supply chain efficiencies, offer value based on individual member needs and situations, and have demonstrated corporate responsibility at community levels through assistance during disasters, scholarship support, volunteer activities, grants, etc.
The following criteria are taken into consideration for suppliers who meet the eligibility requirements:
- Length of supplier engagement with Premier
- Supplier’s commitment to lowering costs for Premier members
- Breakthroughs attendance
- Sales volume
- Market value provided by the contract
- Corporate citizenship
Phyllis Goetz, EDAC, PVDN, Director, Healthcare Strategic Programs and Services for Herman Miller Healthcare accepted the award at Premier’s 2014 annual Breakthroughs Conference and Exhibition in San Antonio. The award ceremony was held at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center on Wednesday, June 11.
