    MillerKnoll respects your privacy, and this Privacy Notice describes our current privacy practices concerning the collection and use of Personal Information (defined as any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person) about you. It provides you with details about the type of information we collect, why we collect it, to whom we disclose it and how we protect it. This Privacy Notice applies to Personal Information we obtain from and about individuals interacting with any MillerKnoll company (the “Company”, “we”, “us”) websites, mobile applications, social media sites, or other digital properties (collectively, the "Site" unless otherwise noted), and through other online and offline interactions, such as when you make an in-person purchase; request or receive services or attend our events; however, it does not apply to job applicants’ or employees’ Personal Information. Any capitalised terms not otherwise defined in this document are defined as set forth in relevant Data Protection Laws.

    Whenever you interact with us on behalf of another individual or entity, such as if you refer a friend to us, you should obtain their consent (or have the legal authority without consent) to share their Personal Information with us.

    As you interact with MillerKnoll, we may collect personal information about you from the following sources:

    The Personal Information we collect from you varies, depending on the way you use our Site or interact with us. The Personal Information may include:

    MillerKnoll does not share or sell Sensitive Personal Information for Commercial Purposes. We only use and disclose Sensitive Personal Data for the following purposes: (i) performing services or providing products reasonably expected by an average consumer; (ii) detecting security incidents; (iii) resisting malicious, deceptive, or illegal actions; (iv) ensuring the physical safety of individuals; (v) for short-term, transient use, including non-personalised advertising; (vi) performing or providing internal business services; (vii) verifying or maintaining the quality or safety of a service or device; or (viii) for purposes that do not infer characteristics about you.

    Personal Information may be disclosed to other MillerKnoll Companies (i.e., intra-group) or to third parties.

    Third Parties regarding corporate changes (7.5)We might buy or sell businesses or assets. In the event of a corporate sale, merger, reorganisation, sale of assets, dissolution, or similar event, the Personal Information we collect may be part of the transferred assets.
    Government authorities or the police (7.6)We may disclose Personal Information to others (including the police, public authorities, and regulatory bodies) if we are required to do so by law, or whenever we believe that disclosing such Personal Information is necessary or advisable to protect and defend our rights, property, or the safety of us or others. Note that we may be required to disclose an individual’s Personal Information in response to a lawful request by public authorities (such as a court order), including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements. We may also disclose your Personal Information to detect and/or resolve any fraud or security concerns.
    Select Third-Party Marketing Partners and Digital Advertising Networks for Targeted or Direct Mail Marketing (7.7)We may disclose Personal Information that we hold about you with non-affiliated third parties (select marketing partners and digital advertising networks) for marketing and commercial purposes.
    Non-affiliated third parties (7.8)We may disclose Personal Information to non-affiliated third parties that may use Personal Information for their own purposes, such as companies that operate Cookies, social media companies, data brokers, and other business partners for their own marketing, research, or analytics purposes. Where required by law, we will obtain your consent prior to disclosing your Personal Information to these non-affiliated third parties. Where recipients use your Personal Information for their own purposes independently from us, we are not responsible for their privacy practices or personal information processing policies.     California laws indicate that organisations should disclose whether certain categories of information are collected, “sold”, “shared” or transferred for an organisation’s “business purpose” (as those terms are defined under California law).   8. Transfer of Information Between Countries

    MillerKnoll is a global enterprise based in the United States with operations in countries around the world. Personal Information may be accessed, used, and collected by authorised MillerKnoll associates and third parties acting on our behalf in countries that are different from yours, and which may have different, including less stringent, Data Protection Laws. MillerKnoll has implemented global privacy practices for Processing Personal Information to ensure the Personal Information is protected under various Data Protection Laws, including the applicable Data Protection Laws under which the Personal Information was collected. MillerKnoll uses EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) to transfer Personal Information between the countries in which we operate in accordance with the standards and conditions of applicable Data Protection Laws, including standards and conditions related to security, Processing, and acceptable transfer mechanisms. Some third parties with whom MillerKnoll shares Personal Information may be based outside of European Economic Area (EEA). Transfers to these third parties take place using an acceptable data transfer mechanism such as Binding Corporate Rules (BCRs) or SCCs.

  9. Security and Retention

    MillerKnoll has implemented reasonable technical and organisational measures to maintain physical, technical, and procedural safeguards that are appropriate to the sensitivity of the applicable Personal Information. These safeguards are designed to protect your Personal Information from loss and unauthorised access, copying, use, modification, or disclosure. However, since the internet is not a 100% secure environment and no security system or measures are impenetrable, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us. We strongly advise you not to communicate any confidential information to us by email or other means through our Site.

    We retain Personal Information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the stated purposes for which the Personal Information was collected or otherwise processed and thereafter only for legitimate purposes or legal requirements. This includes retaining your Personal Information to provide you with the products or services you have requested and in order to interact with you; maintain our business relationship with you; improve our business over time; ensure the ongoing legality, safety and security of our services and relationships; or otherwise in accordance with our internal retention procedures. Once you have terminated your relationship with us, we may retain your Personal Information in our systems and records in order to ensure adequate fulfilment of surviving provisions in terminated contracts or for other legitimate business purposes, such as to enable easier future user onboarding, demonstrate our business practices and contractual obligations, or provide you with information about our products and services in case of interest.   10. Children’s Privacy

    Our Site is not directed or targeted towards, nor intended for use by, persons under the age of 16. If you are not at least 16 years of age, do not access, use, or register on, our Site. We do not knowingly collect, use, share or sell Personal Information from persons under age 16. If you believe we have done so in error, please notify us and we will terminate and delete your account and account information.

  11. Mobile Apps, OAuth, and Third-Party Websites

    11.1 Mobile Applications

    MillerKnoll may have mobile applications that you can download to your mobile device (the "Applications"). When you download the Applications, there may be an opportunity for you to provide us with, or for us to obtain, Personal Information about you. Each Application will display a privacy notice that will inform you about how any new or different Personal Information shared via the application will be handled. Otherwise, Personal Information collected via the Applications will be the Personal Information identified above and will be used and shared as stated in this Privacy Notice.

    Certain features and functionality of the Applications are based on your location. To provide these features and functionalities, if you consent, we may collect geolocational information from your mobile device, wireless carrier, and/or certain third-party service providers. Collection of geolocational information occurs only when you are using your mobile device. You may decline to allow us to collect geolocational information or disable location services on your mobile device but doing so will restrict certain features and functionalities to you.

    11.2 Standard Open Authorisation and similar technology ("OAuth")

    With your permission, in addition to the uses of, or access to, your Personal Information discussed in this Privacy Notice, third-party applications and services may access your Personal Information using OAuth if you choose to log into our Site using your log-in information from those third-party applications. We may also use OAuth to allow us to share Personal Information about you that is stored by us without sharing your security credentials.

    11.3 Third-Party Websites

    We are not responsible for the practices employed by third-party websites or services linked to or from our Site, including the information or content contained in such websites or services, and this Privacy Notice does not apply to them. Privacy notices on such linked websites may be different from our Privacy Notice. Your browsing and interaction with any third-party website or service, including those that have a link on our Site, are subject to that third party’s own rules and privacy notices. You access such linked websites at your own risk. You should always read the privacy notice of a linked website before disclosing any of your Personal Information on such a website.

    11.4 Application Programming Interfaces (“APIs”)

    MillerKnoll may use third-party APIs on our Site to provide additional functionality in connection with your use of our Site.

    We use Cookies to receive and store certain types of information whenever you interact with our Site through your computer or mobile device. Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you access most websites on the internet or open certain emails. Cookies allow a website to remember information about you, such as your user preferences, unique identifiers and other information. More specifically, we use Cookies to personalise your experience when you visit our Site, uniquely identify your computer for security purposes and enable us and our third-party service providers to serve ads on our behalf across the internet.

    We and other third parties engage in interest-based advertising to deliver advertisements and personalised content that we and other advertisers believe will be of interest to you. Third parties will be responsible for their own use of Personal Information collected through the Cookies.

    Advertisements may be delivered to you based on your online or mobile behaviour (on our Site and on third-party websites), your search activity, your responses to one of our advertisements or communications, the pages you visit, your general geographic location, or other information. These ads may appear on our Site or on third-party websites. The third parties with whom we work to help us to conduct interest-based advertising may be members of self-regulatory associations such as the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) and the Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA). For any Site directed at persons located in the European Union, we may work with third parties who are members of the European Digital Advertising Alliance (eDAA). Visit the links provided to exercise choice with respect to interest-based advertising or click on the AboutAds icon on a MillerKnoll advertisement and follow the instructions on how to opt out.

    If you change computers, devices, or browsers; use multiple computers, devices, or browsers; or delete your Cookies, you may need to repeat this process for each computer, device, or browser. Opting out of interest-based advertising will not opt you out of all advertising, but rather only interest-based advertising from MillerKnoll or its agents or representatives.

    You may also see advertisements for third parties on our Site or other websites or properties, based on your visits to, and activities on, our Site and other websites or properties.

  13. Your Privacy Rights

    You may exercise your rights via the Privacy Rights Portal.

    13.1 Right to Opt Out of Marketing or Withdraw Consent

    In case we ask for your consent to process your Personal Information, you are free to refuse to give it. If you have given your consent, you may withdraw it at any time without any adverse consequences. The lawfulness of any Processing of your Personal Information that occurred prior to the withdrawal of your consent will not be affected.

    Promotional emails. You may opt out of receiving certain future email communications from us by clicking on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of emails you receive from us. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to process such requests in a timely manner. You cannot opt out of receiving transactional emails or communications related to your account with us.

    Promotional mailings. You may opt out of receiving physical mail marketing and catalogues by completing the catalogue opt-out form on each of the MillerKnoll brand websites. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to process such requests in a timely manner.

    Promotional text messages. If you receive a text message from us that contains promotional information you can opt out of receiving future text messages by replying “STOP.”

    You may also opt out of marketing via our Privacy Rights Portal.

    13.2 Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing

    We may disclose the Personal Information identified in Section 3 above to third parties for their targeted marketing purposes and to enhance your experience on our Site. All customers have the right to opt out of the sale of their Personal Information by undertaking both of the following steps:

    1. Submit an Opt Out of Sales/Sharing/Targeted Advertising request through on our webform; and
    2. Disable the use of online activity tracking and data sharing through Cookies; you can opt out of each Cookie category (except strictly necessary Cookies) by clicking on the “Cookie Settings” button in the Cookie Notice found at the bottom of each MillerKnoll brand website. You must complete this step on each of our MillerKnoll brand’s websites from each browser and on each device that you use. These steps are necessary so that we can place a first party Cookie signalling that you have opted out on each browser and each device you use.

    Please note the following:

    1. If you block Cookies, we will be unable to comply with your request to Opt Out of Sales/Sharing/Targeted Advertising with respect to device data that we automatically collect and disclose to third parties online using Cookies.
    2. If you clear Cookies, you will need to disable the use of Cookies in the preferences centre again in each browser on each device from which you have cleared Cookies.

    To the extent required by law, we will honor opt-out preference signals sent in a format commonly used and recognised by businesses, such as an HTTP header field or JavaScript object. We will process opt-out preference signals at browser level.

    13.3 Right to Deletion

    You have the right to request that we delete Personal Information about you that we have collected from you, but you should note that in many situations we must keep your Personal Information to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, or for another one of our business purposes. You may exercise your rights via the Privacy Rights Portal.

    13.4 Right to Access/Know and Portability

    You have the right to request that we disclose certain Personal Information that we have about you. You also have the right to obtain a copy of your Personal Information in a readily usable format. You may exercise your rights via the Privacy Rights Portal.

    13.5 Right to Correction

    You have the right to make a request to correct or modify inaccurate Personal Information that we have about you. You can access and update most of your account information on our Site by logging into your account. You may also exercise your rights via the Privacy Rights Portal.

    13.6 Right to Restrict Use

    In certain circumstances, you may have the right to restrict the use of your Personal Information or object to the automated Processing activities that are used to evaluate characteristics about you. You may exercise your rights via the Privacy Rights Portal.

    13.7 Right to Lodge a Complaint

    You have the right to lodge a complaint with an authority in the country in which you reside or where the conduct that is the subject of the complaint occurred.

    13.8 Verification

    We may seek certain Personal Information to verify your identity that may include email address, postal address, and government-issued identification. We may use third-party verification companies to help us verify your identity. If you are submitting a request on behalf of a household, we will need to verify each member of the household in the manner set forth in this Section.

    13.9 Use of Authorised Agent

    If you are making any of the requests above through an authorised agent, we will request written authorisation from you and will seek to verify your identity in the manners stated above (depending on the request type), or we will accept a legal Power of Attorney to the authorised agent.     13.10 Timing of Response

    We will process Opt Out of Sales/Sharing/Targeted Advertising requests within fifteen (15) calendar days. We will respond to all other requests within thirty (30) calendar days, unless we need more time, in which case we will notify you and may take up to ninety (90) calendar days in total to respond to your request.

    13.11 Appeal

    If we deny your rights request, you may have the right to appeal. Your appeal should be submitted to us via privacy@millerknoll.com. We will inform you in writing of our response to your appeal.

    13.12 Non-Discrimination

    MillerKnoll will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
