Hong Kong, China — Logitech G, a brand of Logitech, and Herman Miller are introducing a series of high-performance gaming furniture and accessories, including the Embody Gaming Chair, the industry’s first truly ergonomic chair, to the Hong Kong market. The Embody Gaming Chair is available in Hong Kong via the Herman Miller Hong Kong Gaming eCommerce site (http://hkgaming.hermanmiller.com) beginning 12th April 2022.
The two brands have been creating a unique footprint in the world of seating ergonomics for gamers, streamers, and esports athletes since July of 2020. Many diverse customers have been enthusiastic about those brands’ contribution into the gaming industry, encouraging the companies to expand into more markets.
“The amount of opportunity awaiting our gaming portfolio into Hong Kong is massive,” says Jon Campbell, Director of Gaming at Herman Miller. “85% of internet users in Hong Kong game. We know it’s a passion for many people, and whether it’s something they do as a hobby, a means of connecting with friends, or as a full-fledged career, having the option to elevate the quality of their setups with top of the line furniture products is a huge win. We are thrilled to be expanding into Hong Kong, and can't wait to add even more places in the future.”
“Gamers deserve advanced ergonomic solutions in all aspects of play,” says Peter Kingsley, Chief Marketing Officer at Logitech G. “A typical esports athlete and streamer are seated at their desk upwards of three times as long as a typical office worker. A large number of gamers expressed widespread dissatisfaction with the comfort and ergonomics provided from traditional gaming chairs, as there is a significant decline in performance due to the physical challenges that come from repetitive motion injuries.”
The companies spent nearly two years studying eSport pros and players around the globe to understand their unique needs. Based on their in-depth research insights, the Embody Gaming Chair has been modified and the chair is setting a new standard of gaming ergonomic solution with pressure distribution, natural alignment, and healthy movement support. Enhancements included cooling foam with copper-infused particles that support the ideal gaming posture and reduce heat buildup caused from sitting on thick cushions for a prolonged period of time, and pixelated support, which distributes weight evenly to reduce pressure and encourages movement. These features are crucial to maintaining healthy circulation and focus.

In addition to the Embody Gaming Chair, the companies are introducing the Aeron Gaming Chair, Sayl Gaming Chair, Ratio Gaming Desks, and Ollin monitor arm for the complete gaming setting that prioritizes aesthetics and function. The Herman Miller gaming setting encourages regular movement and allow users to switch between different postures to adjust to gamers’ playing styles, increasing energy and efficiency.
