Herman Miller Highlighted in the Sustainable Asset Management 2008 Sustainability Yearbook

Herman Miller, Inc., has been recognized among the world's leading companies for its sustainability efforts, according to the fourth-annual Sustainable Asset Management (SAM) Sustainability Yearbook. It is also the recipient of SAM Sector Leader and Sector Mover designations for the Furnishing category.

Produced by SAM and PricewaterhouseCoopers, the Sustainability Yearbook includes the top 15 percent of companies in 57 industry sectors selected from the Dow Jones Global Index and scored according to the SAM Corporate Sustainability Assessment, which evaluates economic, environmental, and social performance.

Herman Miller was chosen for its commitment to innovation, quality, and branding, together with its safety and environmental initiatives. Additional factors also were considered, including the adaptability of the company's products and transparency of product composition and labeling.
