The March 2000 issue of Contract Design magazine www.contractmagazine.com features a profile of Herman Miller's Resolve office system.
While not as extensive in scope as other recent industry and business magazine profiles devoted to the system, writer Julie A. Raimondi's article, "120° Turnaround," provides a good capsule summary of the thinking behind Resolve, and the key players who helped bring it to life.
"Not only is Resolve's 120-degree angle more organic and efficient," Raimondi reports, "it makes for easier collaboration because it allows room for coworkers to sidle up beside one another in front of a monitor without neck craning...the total inventory is less than 20 pieces, which simplifies life for designers and facility managers who may actually be able to remember all the components."
Contract Design is published monthly for 30,000 interior designers, architects, and contract furniture dealers who design interior spaces and specify furnishings and building products for their commercial and institutional clients.
