Bretford Unveils Luce Suite and Free Evolve Modular at NeoCon 2007

Both Lines Exclusive to Herman Miller's Distribution Channel

Bretford, Inc., the leading supplier of high-quality technology and media furniture that improves how people work and learn, is launching two new product lines during the NeoCon 2007 World's Trade Fair, June 11-13. Both new lines will be distributed exclusively through Herman Miller's North American dealerships.

The company is unveiling its Luce Suite of conference tables and credenzas and its Free Evolve modular tabling systems that will extend Bretford's Free family of workstations. Both products will be debuted in the Bretford showroom, Suite 330, at Chicago's Merchandise Mart during NeoCon 2007.

Chris Petrick, director of marketing for Bretford, said the Luce Suite provides new solutions for conference rooms. "The conference room reflects the company's image and, in many instances, is the office showpiece," Petrick noted. "At the same time, conference rooms must be set-up to accommodate the technology products that professionals need, like laptops and projectors. The new Luce Suite leads the way in innovation from the distinctive lighting options to the sleek power and data ports so specifiers can create a meeting room atmosphere that is just right for the company. And with the ability to reset the Luce conference room work surfaces, end users can significantly lengthen the life of their furniture while keeping the style modern and technology enabled."

Luce conference room tables incorporate specialized lighting into their base for an illuminated setting unlike anything else currently available. They also feature flip-up doors that open to reveal power and data outlets for electronic equipment. The myriad laptop and projector cords usually found on a conference table can now be easily hidden to give meeting attendees an organized table surface. When not in use, these doors flip down flush with the tabletop to keep the surface clean and open.

The tables are available in veneer, laminate and resin with hardwood edges for a range of mix-and-match options. Additionally, the Luce credenzas come with resin or veneer doors and an exposed or hidden top shelf giving the accessory great flexibility and a contemporary feel.

"We are very pleased to offer the new tables and credenzas directly through Herman Miller North American dealerships," said Petrick. "The partnership between Bretford and Herman Miller not only gives customers streamlined accessibility to the Luce Suite, but also complementary office products to complete any conferencing solution."

The Luce Suite will be available in the fall, as will the Free Evolve tabling systems. Free Evolve features five distinctive designs that can be configured into structured or organic formations for use primarily in office environments, either as individual or collaborative workspaces. Free Evolve products are also designed for schools, universities, and even public touchdown points within a facility. Their adaptive, modular designs and tool-less accessories make them easy to set-up and reconfigure, while the special low-friction glide pods allow easy movement across office carpet and flooring for quick and convenient workspace relocation.

Free Evolve's shapes bring everything within reach while the curved frames maximize leg space. The Mini desk style can be used for call centers or "short-stay" applications in libraries or classrooms. Midi is a multi-purpose, space-efficient workstation that is ideal for most office applications, particularly those that "nest" several workspaces together. The Maxi workstation is designed as a replacement for a traditional 90-degree desk and supports larger flat screens and other electronics equipment. Multi-workstations incorporate desks with "meeting space" for an executive office or public reception area. Finally, the Free Evolve Returns serve as secondary work surfaces and extends the available work area of any Free Evolve desk.

The Free Evolve line incorporates screens and accessories that move easily to suit working and communication preferences without the need for technical experience. Free Evolve's fully mechanical height-adjustment handle helps tailor the desk to an individual's needs, thereby creating a healthier workspace with just a few turns of the handle. Free Evolve's desktop power keeps mobile devices ready to go, while the wiring system includes a cable port that neatly stores cords behind the desk to keep the workspace clean. Angled sorters, shelves with adjustable dividers, paper trays, and portrait frames also help organize and personalize the work area.

Both the Luce Suite and Free Evolve are made from top-of-the-line materials that can withstand years of wear and tear from people and the environment. Bretford's quality workmanship and environmentally friendly manufacturing practices ensure dependable operation that is further backed by the industry's best 12-year standard warranty.
