When Clemenceau Medical Center (CMC) began a new hospital construction project in Dubai, their main goal was to create a positive healthcare experience for staff and patients. Recognizing the need to be efficient in the construction process, the CMC team brought in Herman Miller and Advanced Business Concept, a Herman Miller dealer partner.

“By consulting Herman Miller on the drawings and receiving an entire floor plate proposal, we were able to streamline a lot of the construction process, from schematic design to procurement. A single point of contact made communication, planning, and execution more efficient in meeting the project schedule and cost targets,” says Maalouf.

Important to CMC was creating an adaptive environment that supports the work of the clinical team. “Our care team is able to be more efficient in care delivery, which gives them more time to focus on the needs of patients,” says Rola Hammoud, Chief Medical Officer, CMC, Dubai.

The CMC team took a patient-centric approach to everything from reception areas and patient rooms to emergency rooms, labs and pharmacies.

“We aspire to create spaces with a hospitality look and feel, but that are also well geared for healthcare. We pride ourselves on giving patients an elevated experience,” states John-Aziz Maalouf, Engineering and Projects Manager, CMC, Dubai.
