Foundational insights

These insights about people, process, and place informed the development of this setting.

For people: Inclusive

The simple seating vocabulary accommodates a broad range of personal needs without separating or stigmatizing users.

For process: Intuitive and Desirable

Streamlined furnishings clearly communicate their function, making this dynamic space easy to read and rearrange in any configuration.

For place: Adaptable

A versatile kit of parts enables a myriad of configurations for supporting different activities and spatial modes.

Open Forum 2.0 offers similar functionality to Open Forum 1.0, but with a more casual and adaptable character. Where the latter is expressed through a diverse variety of furnishings and material finishes, the former has a more streamlined vocabulary, keeping the focus on people and their work. As such, this space encourages a hands-on approach for participants.
