Foundational insights

These insights about people, process, and place informed the development of this setting.

For people: Inclusive

This setting provides an approachable and consistent experience while supporting a different posture within each space to ensure that employees are taking care of themselves.

For process: Intuitive and Desirable

A calming space devoid of technology, this setting allows employees a moment of rest for both body and mind, resulting in higher overall productivity.

For place: Adaptable

Each Retreat contains furnishings that can be easily adjusted to support individual comfort while the enclosure itself can be reconfigured as the organization’s needs evolve.

Mental health is a huge component of wellness. We all need ways to decompress—especially in uncertain times. By offering a calming space devoid of technology, a Retreat invites people to withdraw for a few minutes and momentarily escape the stresses of work. In terms of intent and duration, it provides a counterpoint to a Focus Room, another type of Haven.
