Driven by an intense curiosity about the context in which objects are made and used, Jess Sorel concentrates on observing and interpreting the world around him.

His design for the Palisade collection reflects his deep understanding of the different ways people experience a healthcare waiting room, with seating, tables, and screening accessories that create spaces to support activities ranging from caring for children and other loved ones to taking phone calls and catching up on work.

“My hope,” he says, “is to have a positive impact on transforming people’s experience in the context of healthcare environments.”

Working in the San Francisco Bay area, Sorel (California College of the Arts) brings an artful approach and technical expertise to every project.
